mars is the small dot just behind venus.as we see it.

I told everyone I saw the northern lights a few years ago. It turns out it was the new floodlights at the nearby school AstroTurf pitch. People believed me so I never owned up.

Mars is naked eye, I spotted all three about an hour ago. I had my scope out last night for 15 minutes, Venus and Mars were in the same field of view in my 32mm eyepiece, a stark contrast in brightness and colours.

planet venus is just beside the moon and mars will join them very soon when it gets a little darker.

Venus and Mars are alright tonight.

So the really bright light next to the moon is Venus? We were looking at it on the way home a couple of hours ago and it was so bright we assumed it was a plane. But then it never moved and 15 minutes later was still in the same place so realised it wasn't a plane, but was so bright had no idea what it was.

Uranus doesn't seem to have been invited yo your party, but he's there too!

Venus is the brightest one, bar the moon.

Look after sunset tomorrow, the Moon will still be a crescent but still close to Venus. Look just above Venus and you'll see a dim reddish "star" which is Mars. I could see Mars despite it being pretty dim.

Roger, Venus has been reported many times as a UFO so you can maybe understand why if you didn't know what it was

In the other direction Jupiter is pretty bright still and not hard to miss.

We did say that maybe it was a UFO as we thought it was way too bright to be a star. Other half wondered if it was a satellite!
