Thinking of buying a 2-bedroom cottage initially as a holiday home later to live there.
Just wondering if anyone knows what the level of council tax or local taxes are compared to here, or if there are any other property taxes to pay on a yearly basis.
Thanks

Talked about this before.

My brother in law, his wife, daughter and husband, retired there very many years ago.

They bought a twelve room chateaux, 2,600 sq ft gite plus other property and buildings for conversion.

I'm only telling you this as, apparently, the sale negotiation took very many hours and, at almost midnight, someone went off to get the Mayor!

Not sure how normal that is but, as bix has said, everything will be on line.
