long narrow glasses.  How do you clean the bottom?  those brush things are wholly unsatisfactory, end up forcing two scrubbers down there and moving around with a fork.

Haven't you got a dishwasher?

A dishwasher would soon get your narrow glasses clean.

I hate dishwashers.  Apart from the expense, space, water wastage and noise, They are no good for cleaning the stuff that you really don't want to clean (long glasses aside).  Pots and pans and plates and cutlery are easy to do in the sink, and by the time you've filled up and set the machine off and then emptied it you may as well do it yourself in the sink.  And you can only fit about two big pans one one whole shelf anyway, you need to do two loads.  The one time washing up is a real chore is like a real messed up roasting tray, and then the old super dooper dishwasher just totally gives up, got no b.ollox those machines, about as much use as a teapot made of chocolate.  So you still end up spending yonks cleaning roasting trays by hand.

Fair enough rob, but we even put the grid trays out of the oven in ours.

I only put one in because the other half wanted it but I'd always have one now.

Good for getting stuff really clean and much more hygienic than hand wash - but

Not great if you have got a bad back and my heart sinks when you try and push the tray in and something gets caught and it won't go in.

Virtually all kitchen gadgets are a waste of time, space and money.  I love looking at big expanses of kitchen surface with nothing on it.  Even toasters make me cringe.

Actually I threw the toaster in the bin about 6 months back.  No one even noticed.  Would like to do the same with the electric kettle.
