The way the Royal Family is funded was altered a few years ago.
Only the immediate Family get anything but even that comes from the income from the Royal estates.
Not sure of the current figures but it was £33m 2 years ago with the estates earnings at £232M so the treasury received cash.
Cheaper than a presidency and a great tourist attraction.

If I was a trust fund kid id spend my days on the beach/ski slopes/brothels etc so I can't really complain.
