What could possibly go wrong. You dont employ a plumber to fix your electrics and likewise an ex pro footballer to deal with your investments. How thick are the likes of Bullard and Keane |

http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2015/02/02/michael-mcindoe-cash-probe-thousands-staked-on-wolves-and-albion-games-in-huge-gambling-spree/ Bookmakers William Hill has handed investigators details of McIndoe’s online betting record which include several Wolves and Albion games. The records, seen by the Express & Star, reveal astonishing sums being staked while he was still playing and then in retirement. He bet around £17,000 on 17 Wolves games, and staked the same amount over more than 30 West Bromwich Albion games. He also lost £100 as part of an accumulator which included Stafford Rangers’ 4-0 home loss against Boston in March 2011. He made regular £2,000 transfers into the account, including seven over a period of eight days in February 2011. There were 561 online bets in a period of less than 18 months – from November 28, 2010, to May 5, 2012. Many were accumulators where he tried to predict a string of results. The total amount he staked was £391,955 and his winnings were £309,505.76 – a loss of £82,449.24. His largest stake was £15,000 on Inter Milan to beat Bari and Crawley to beat Kettering on February 3, 2011. He lost the bet because Crawley and Kettering drew. Other heavy losses included £13,000 predicting Chesterfield would win at Stockport on February 1, 2011. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. |

Here's another heartwarming story from the filthy world of Premiership Football which sadly didn't get the exposure it deserved over the Yuletide period. It was quite possibly the happiest start to any New Year in living memory.
Take your pick from these and savour them. . http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2893337/West-Ham-star-Andy-Carroll-manager-Sam-Allardyce-lose-thousands-conman-Harrods-hamper-scam.html . http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/west-hams-andy-carroll-sam-4901312 . http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-ham/11320192/Premier-League-news-West-Ham-hamper-fraud-investigated-by-police.html |

So far then this thread has taught me that Sam Allardyce like a big cheap hamper full of food and Premiership footballers like the thought of making easy money but are quite stupid.
