I see little difference in our defference to the monarchy and that required by the honours system and the BBC than that afforded by North Korea. It should be giving a time to run down ... William should do this and then its finished

We stole tune from Luxemburg and the words were a response
to The Scots under Prince Charlie marching on London. Fortunately
the city of Derby depressed the Scots so much that they turned back
and went home.

Cant beat the Italian anthem imo - which would annoy my granddad who said he used to enjoy the sound of Italians squealing as he shot them
in WW2.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it as a national anthem but it should be a national anthem. England should have an anthem distinct from that national anthem for such sporting occasions. Something like Land Of Hope And Glory.

We struggled 1st half but destroyed Armagh 2nd. Good draw for us as well. Glad to see you lot out as you are a threat to us.

I hear there was a complaint put in about a few of our supporters in your club last week. I was one of the few and there was no problems from us except from one of our crowd who was a bit rowdy. He's a gentle giant, sung nothing sectarian although his song about your keeper was a bit questionable Scared

I'm a Royalist despite being an Atheist but I won't bite [:tongue out:

Can never understand what's so "national" about saving one single person - not a mention of the nation.

If it's sung as a tribute to the king or queen when they're present then fine but as a national anthem, it is cringe worthy.

We get Shinners leaflets through the door, how times have changed. I'm thinking of running a campaign of turning the shinners leaflets into briquets and burning them on 11th bonfires instead of tyres. Far greener Grin

Never a blow out BTW, the big lad who came in at half time was piissed, sang nothing sectarian but was out of order. I'd think we'd react if one of your crowd done the same at the Oval. No harm and the vast majority of your support were good craic.

As I said, come in the front entrance next time or ask to be transferred into our end. You and your mates will be well looked after at half time.

God Save The Queen is a bit of a dirge but what do the other home nations use? Danny Boy and Flower of Scotland are hardly toe-tappers, and are nauseatingly over-sentimental. It is hardly coincidence that the national anthems at the start of the game are exactly the right length to boil a kettle.

Yeah - and they're asking some Mexican called 'Jose' if he's had an eyesight test that morning - what a load of balls!
