House music is the best dance music ever invented. FACT

From 1986, which saw the superb Fingers Inc track "Can You Feel It" released, the quality of music has steadily improved and house music is as strong today as ever. The combination of some excellent soul singers with some tremendous dance beats has seen house music not only survive ca. 29 years, but this last year has probably seen more quality produced than any of the preceding 28 years! Producers like Louie Vega have the golden touch and are producing outstanding songs at will.

Michael Watford was one of the best singers I ever heard live and I saw plenty of the top soul singers. When he did a PA ca. 20 years ago at Camden Lock where the world's best DJ, Paul Trouble Anderson was playing, it had to be heard to be believed!

I had a good chat with PTA last summer. He Dj'd on one of the soul boat Thames trips. He's a top man!

Norman lived one street away from me in Shepherds bush, and played in a football team (Orchard) I helped run in the 80s. After I moved he coincidently became my next door neigbhour, a few years later. I put a kitchen in for him. He still lives there next to my ex missus. Not seen him for a few years, my daughter tells me his son Russel is doing great as a DJ.

He eats drinks and sleeps music. SJ, The pirate days!! God I feel old.

I actually bought a copy of Lonnie Gordon- Happening all over again although I wouldn't really call it house music.
Doctorin the House by Coldcut featuring Yazz & The Plastic Population  is a very serious omission.

I always prefer House Music to Garage music because being so tall I hit my head often while dancing to garage music!
