Seem to remember in the late 60's early 70's hearing  tales of this happening. It can't possibly still be occurring today; can it?

Remember talking to a bloke who played Rugby at a good amateur level back in the 80's.

He said when they went on tour on the continent and went out for a meal ......the captain would stand up blow his whistle & they all legged it. Cool

Not any more, we British have come to understand and respect the Curry-house worker and now would not dream of depriving them of their hard earned spondoolics.

Did it once in my student years. Got chased, climbed a fence and tore a pair of jeans worth about ten times what I would've paid for the meal. Instant korma.
Insult to injury, one of lad was caught and relieved of his watch, so we all stumped up to him anyway in order that he could get it back. All in all, a failed venture. Don't do it kids.

My old man told me he used to bolt whenever he had a bad curry but I never believed him; you see, he had a dodgy tikka.

We used to all go to the same curry house every week in the early nineties . My mate used to say  'I'll pay ' every week. Every week he used to use a different stolen credit card.

curry houses -  serving chopped up, rancid, meaty shyte, covered in a stinking sauce to hide the taste. No thanks.

I do like a home cooked curry though (where I know what the ingredients are!).

Used to a runner every week from a taxi though - kept me fit
