I've never sold anything on ebay. I have brought one item off there though and for the next year or so ebay bombarded me with emails asking me to verify my account. 
I bought some Danny Williams signed boxing shorts shortly after he knocked out Mike Tyson expecting them to appreciate in value. I think he lost every fight since including losing to audley Harrison.
