New thing I've noticed on my phone. Mate away on holiday, so takes some photos, wants to share them with friends, etc. Used to be, I'd get a text or an email with photo attachments. Not now. The photos just appear, on their own.

No text/SMS received from my mate, no notifications. But his photos just automatically appear on my phone. Creepy or what ? Scared

Are you using Dropbox or similar?
Report Platini • January 29, 2015 11:14 PM GMT
yes, dropbox and google. has to be one of them that's the culprit.

platini this sort of situation could be dangerous if there were some dodgy pics ur mate took and then ur missus decided to have a look on your fone

Especially if the dodgy pics were of your mate sending taking certain pics for his own Mrs Shocked

Social media websites are too intrusive.
It won't be long before you are getting stuff from a friend of a friend of a friend pushed into your space (or is it happening now).

If you're getting a mate's stuff pushed into your space I'd say it's gone a bit beyond social.

They will appear on your phone via Dropbox if you've joined a shared folder (which, in this case, presumably, automatically backs up from his phone).

Maybe he left his phone at your place and took yours with him by mistake...

Ahhh, I've cracked it now.

Whatsapp was the culprit. Forgot all about that, installed it ages ago, but almost never use it. Just logged in and see loads of messages, pics. I had alert disabled so didn't know about them. Still creepy how the pics go onto my photo gallery tho Laugh
