1st class hypocrite wtf is he doing at a freedom of speech rally? this is the bloke who refused to debate with an oxford student because he was Jewish. The slimeball is just trying to secure his seat in May, be funny if a muslim beat him at the poll
Report Dr Crippen January 21, 2015 4:13 PM GMT
He starts of by saying that no one should be subjected to violence or death for anything they have written said or drawn.

Then at the end he said he will campaign in Parliament for protection from provocation for the prophets.

So he wants a law to ban criticism of the prophet.

Death or violence is out for what someone has written said or drawn, but some other punishment for it would be okay by George.

He compares the publishing of provocative drawings to shouting fire in a cinema.
Which is nonsense.
Shouting fire in a cinema causes people to panic out of fear.

Where is the fear in the cartoons to cause followers of Islam to panic and harm themselves and others?
They kill out of revenge because they can't stand ridicule not because they fear anything.

How can he defend freedom of speech in one breath, then campaign for restriction of what one says in another.

Some people need to listen carefully what he says before they agree with him.

He's a very dangerous man.

GC, Charlie Hebdo can be bought here if you know where to look, there is a large French ex-pat community in London.

The Police interviewed Galloway after one of his speeches condemning Israel.
That must have been for inciting racial hatred against the Jews.
He's got plenty of form for that.

It seems that racial hatred is okay for followers of Islam, but George thinks that even mild satire against Muslims should be banned.

You live in a country where a play can depict Jesus in a nappy and portrayed as gay. If your view is that it is unaccepable in any context to publish a photo of Mohammed then I'm afraid you are living in the wrong country. We should be repealing Labour's heinous anti libertarian laws not entertaining yet more curtailing of our civil liberties to pander to believers in any dark age fairy tales.

About the only good thing he's done in recent times.
With oil prices below $50 a barrel Scotland would have had the begging bowl out even before we went independent.
You should be thanking George and every other NO voter for saving us from a life of poverty that would have awaited us had the yes voters won.

Crazy for George who seems to have fought censorship his whole life to take the stance that he has taken here.

Wee eck and his poster girl tried to sell the notion to the nation but only managed to get 38% of the electorate to vote yes.
And they only achieved that %age by giving the vote to 16 and 17 year olds who fell for the romantic rhetoric that fell out of the mouth of every yes campaigner.
