why will it take an hour to come up with aldi, lidl, poor management practice?
It won't it is half an hour. Can be summed up in two words though. Aldi. Lidl.
Bullying suppliers....right that's it....no more shopping at Tesco for me....nazis !
Common practice amongst the nationals - but maybe they have been pushing at the limits :(
What a disjointed program from what I saw of it. What was the premise of it supposed to be : how Tesco got in trouble (i.e. share price down and making losses or smaller profits and dodgey accountint).
What did we get? Lots of complaints that they bully suppliers or take more money of suppliers than they need to, or abuse their position as a very large company to screw the max out of suppliers.
If anything the later would make Tesco MORE profitable, albeit a nasty company.
As people post above, Tesco's REAL problem is the rise of discount supermarkets (coupled with an economic downturn), nothing to do with sort of random unlinked attacks on Tesco from the program? A bit crap.

Tesco were going great guns then suddenly everyone woke up to the fact that they were expensive.
Shopping at the big stores involves too much walking about as well, even when you have a good idea were everything is.
And when they move the stuff around it just winds you up and adds even more walking about looking for the stuff.
In a town were I lived there was a Tesco and a Sainsbury's.
I always used the Sainsbury's simply because the stuff was always in the same place.
While in the Tesco they continually moved the stuff around.
