More times than I care to remember, only to the dog track though. That venue aside I know nothing about Hove.

Brighton and Hove but where's Albion?

When they were at the Goldstone, I think they were in Hove.

Sunday afternoons prior to Goodwood was always Hove/Brighton.This day I'm walking along the front & this bloke comes along with an atrractive bird & he's talking arrogantly to her.I says to myself what a clever so & so he is,I hadn't a clue at the time.I sharp realised who it had been that Sunday afternoon when a certain Mr Eubanks came on the telly.

i lived in hove for a year in my student years. plenty of trips to the dogs.

But I ran out of places and friendly faces because I had to be free

I've been to paradise, but I've never been to hove.

SPOT THE DOG, it's a 1.01 job that we have stood on the terraces next to each other at some point over the last 30 years. Suncrest Sail was one of my favourite dogs, he loved Hove.

I think I may have been there at one time when on holiday with a school pal and we were more or less based in Bognor (I think - or was that some other school pal?!).

Of course, the vicinity would have passed me by - but I do remember Brighton had a very pebbled beach.

Was a regular at Hove dogs back in the early/mid 90s. Saw some great dogs. Slippy Blue, Hit The Lid, Ravage Again,Chicita Banana, Sail On Valerie and Phantom Flash. A stayer called Wizza Woz would nearly always get me out of trouble in the 695 finale. Loved that dog.

Remember a 970 metre Open one night. I think the fav was Clonbrin Basket went off around 1/3, then the local champion was clear second in, so clever clogs here took 6/4 a dog called Prospectors Rock without the front two, it pinged the boxes and made all at 25/1. Never felt so gutted after a winning bet

Got all three legs of an each way patent up with Beaney The Bookmaker in Church Rd, Hove, one weekday afternoon at the end of summer 1982. One of them was trained by the late Tim Forster. Must have been a chaser on hard ground at Ludlow, I imagine. Came to £750. Meant my net assets in the world had suddenly ballooned to almost 800 quid.

Walked on air down Holland Rd to the seafront afterwards, then back into Brighton. Bought the 12" of New Order's Temptation and hummed the melody loudly all the way back to my digs, with the light sparkling on the waves in the late afternoon sun.

Brunswick..........holland road hove.............my pal played there last night.........I drive a cab in hove for a few yrs.........& then drove the only FX4 (black cab) in Brighton to work of a night............hence loads of people know me

Would av been early 80s...........inside hare im shure........a big black dog that ran out the 6 box Jinsky.............usted to run against the wall in the cheep side & people would try & stroke it

I trialed a dog out there once & as I was walking back wiv it the hare came out the sough bang next to me........the dog ended up on my shoulders
