I started watching this cr*p "What's the right diet for you" program on BBC2 and what is it with program makers these days? Badly zoomed in and out of focus shots, and for many sections of it, edited so that each shot is on the screen for about 1 second and often less, before it cuts to the next. Irritating and giving me a headache.
Is this to match the attention span of people to whom a tweet is a long read?!
They seem to be making healthy eating unnecessarily complicated these days.
Eating a healthy diet is very simple.

It's just standard January TV isn't it. A few million people with new years resolutions and they're trying to turn them into viewer numbers.
Cut/Chop/Cut/Chop goes the editor. I'm guessing it's due to the ease of doing cr*p editing in a digital TV editing suite, by effortlessly selecting and dragging little chunks of video around. Easy to do doesn't mean it's better... They wouldn't be doing it if it meant cutting and taping bits of 35mm film

When you see programmes from the 60s 70s 80s it makes you want to weep...AJP Taylor standing for half an hour just talking...Brian Walden Weekend World...Jack Hargreaves...a feckin' disgrace the way some of these programmes are being made now - Brasseye took the p1ss out of these daft jump cuts and TV conventions but in the long run it hasn't made a difference.
