Played the ship's chef, Wilfred Haynes (and unforgettably at that) in 'Carry On Cruising" as well as a host of other films and TV roles.

Will be greatly missed, quite possibly most of all by a former flame. I won't reveal her name here, but her initials are QW.

And here's the best scene from 'Carry On Cruising' while we're at it.

Poor old Lance, another of Queenies old flames gone, I shall miss he's little ditty songs on Derby Day with Thomo..
The big news is that QW WAS NOT MARRIED TO ROD TAYLOR,
He was married to Anna Karen .

I read about Rod Taylor earlier Sica Dan, he was in The Birds amongst other films and was a good actor. He had a good innings though aged 84.

One of my favourite of Lance's comedy films is 'The Big Job' from the mid-60s, with Dick Emery, Sid James, Jim Dale, Joan Sims and others.  A hapless bunch of villains are on the trail of some hastily buried loot from a robbery years earlier... the burial site now being in the grounds of a Police Station.

I liked Rod in "The Birds". He played alongside a Hollywood actress with the unusual name of TIPPI TOES.

I believe TIPPI was married to a Chit Chatter whose name escapes me.

Lance was famous for singing songs in a Calypso style.
Perhaps UKIP should have used him instead of Mike Reid

Some advice from The Birds.

"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? "And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?…

Percival did a lot of voiceover work, most famously for the PG Tips advert.

Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong of Des Moines, Iowa, USA, saw the PG Tips Tour de France ad on while on holiday in Whitley Bay and found it so amusing that they named the son they conceived there after Percival himself.
