Just a little apprehensive in posting this, as I'm sure I will have left someone out, and also there are a fair few unanimous donations....

This is from one of Gemma's charity runs

Total raised
£1,192.77
Gift Aid
£171.94

The generosity of these guys has not been forgotten and the the amounts give were staggering.

I won't embarrass anyone by saying who gave what, but I can say that one individual gave £150.00.

Also that one person chucked in very generously and then posted just three weeks later that he was down to his last £15.00!!!

Again if I missed anyone I am sorry....... :-)

@Aunty Post re Justgiving web site

How much information do you see about the donors? In other words, how anonymous is it?

I think most of these giving websites you don't have to leave your name and you can tick a box not to give your email to the charity (sometimes worthwhile as the good ones thank you and the bad ones harrass you) . I must have done that because Gemma never got in touch to give me a thank you kiss Mischief

I'm sure it's anonymous as for as "Joe Public" are concerned, but but not sure about the administrators.

I for one have not been pestered by the charities here but I do get polite reminders from "The Alzheimer Charity" in Australia
where I chuck in "a few bob" to support Linzy, twice a year.

What's the point giving to charity anonymously - or in fact doing anything charitable anonymously.  Nobody will know and you'd never get on honours list or the publicity you crave.

What I do is I buy a lottery ticket and that way nobody knows I am donating.  And when I win the big one I'll still keep buying them.  It's my way of giving something back.

Aunty,
you are a kind and generous with your praise.

If I get to know you better, you can call me just meme.

My best friend calls me "me" ... and he is a wise, intelligent, handsome chap.  I love him.Love
