Some good ones in there.
Re. 6: You'd have to invest in public transport before hiking the congestion charge. I doubt the network could cope with a signicant increase in passengers travelling in to London. |

The littering in some place in the UK is really disgusting. My wife is from Texas and the well known ad for non littering over there is "Don't mess with Texas" Of course, you go to some big cities there and you may find a similar level, but to be honest overall there seems to be more pride in keeping the place look nice. I really don't get people that litter.

1. people need plastic bags.
2. voting is not the answer, best only hereditary peers in lords. 3. council should be based on services not house value. 4. people are not living longer, 150 years ago aver. life exp. was 74. 5. make the jobs we need the best paid and secure and education takes care of itself. 6. re-nationalize the rail industry. 7. Europe and Britain will need the bomb. 8. very dangerous to legalise drugs, high % of insane people as it is. 9. 10.house prices are falling, the market will decide but more council houses are needed. |

True Hank. Littering is disgusting. I would give a mandatory 1 week prison sentence to anyone caught littering. But worse still are these pigs who let their dogs foul pavements, or worse still, public parks. They are in the same league as rapists and nonces and if found guilty should be taken outside and shot. The only language these coonts understand.

You are incorrect on point 4 lfc.
By:
People do not need plastic bags.
By:
4. also men and women now work and pay tax towards pension, not the case generally in the past. Should be easier to finance pensions today (especially as people are not living longer!)
By:
people are buying plastic bags, why if they are not needed?
By:
need is an over used word.

If William Hague couldn't sort out Britain then no-one can

lfc lots of people are lazy or just get in to bad habits. I take my sports bag when I go food shopping. No need for plastic bags. You'd be amazed at the reduction in plastic littering and waste etc if more people used reuseable bags.

By:
Hank do you buy plastic bags?
By:
Yes or no please
![]() |
By:
I don't buy them. Why?
By:
OK now..but that is not all, notice you claim not to buy them...you may be avoiding the question. Do you have plastic bags and if so why?
By:
lol I do not have any in my household if that is a better answer
As you may be able to tell I am anti plastic bags I realize I am in the minority and I am far from perfect, but I just consider it a waste of resources and most ends up in landfill or on the street. Rant over from me. Have a good one ![]() |
By:
There are no less plastic bags, even if everyone used re-usable bags to shop.
By:
sorry, just ignore me hank. |
By:
most people ignore you ya daft bastard
By:
agree entirely with your view on litter.
By:
Aren't plastic bags much less of a problem as most are biodegradable?
By:
Yes they are biodegradable surprisingly, but may have to be exposed to sunlight to break down.
By:
So the littering is productive as it's exposing the biodegradable bags to sunlight?

Britain is beyond fixing. Not long now before Tower Hamlets declares independence. Bradford and Birmingham will follow and the Islamic Republic of Britain is but 2 generations away. There will be no money for benefits and pensions, and the NHS will eventually collapse beyond repair.
The economy is in trouble no matter what the politicians say. Man might conquer HIV and most cancers, but nature will fight back with unimaginable diseases- Ebola is just a start. Some do gooder will go to Africa and will bring back something nasty and it will spread and cause a pandemic. There will be an increase in dementia and Alzheimers as more and more people will live to a 100. The lowering of standards and economic crisis will lead to more crime and the shortage of police will mean the force cannot cope. I could go on! Now for the bad news............................................ |

No evidence that de-criminalising drugs increases usage - they are so readily available anyway it's just perverse and a waste of resources policing it.
By:
Reckless to give allow the modern British citizen free access to drugs.
At any one time roughly 87% of people are technically insane in this very country. |
By:
87%? Blimey that is a coincidence because 87% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Some good ideas there.
One I would include would be a greater control of alcohol sales similar to the Swedish model where low alcoholic drink can be bought in supermarkets but stronger stuff has to be bought from the state shop or pubs cafes and restaurants. it won't happen here because the supermarkets have the government in their pocket. On the subject of State pensions the problem is that the money is not invested. It is literally paid in by one person and collected by another. |

The environment is a bit more complicated than banning plastic bags.
I dont know how many more rights tenants could feasibly have. |

transport - bring in free local bus service with a thirty mile range.if you are serious about going green.
trident - just skip this upgrade? get the next one in twenty years. it's like buying every new iphone upgrade? just get every alternative one from the yanks. stop importing cheap labour from poor countries. pay more to homegrown talent. the money is printed by the banks - so the numbers are meaningless. ban job agencies that ring fence jobs for immigrants. |
