loved the ealing films,was oneupmanship with the great terry thomas a ealing film ?
It wasn't, it came a few years after the last Ealing comedy, but it was directed by the same bloke who directed Kind Hearts and Coronets and a few other Ealing films, so it has that feel, I guess.
