Ron don't know how to beat roulette, it has a negative expectancy IE, zero, and no amount of staking variation can turn a negative expectancy into a positive one. Norman Leigh's 13 against the bank "TRUE" escapade against the Bank using a team to cover all evens shots with reverse La Bouchere, is a good read.

this is on-line, im sure its fixed,
every new site i join most it seems i win a grand or 2, thats in reality the worse thing that can happen as you will be back an they obviously know, it'll more than likely be their site so its worth them lending the money, i can go through a grand in minutes its sick to watch, before i ruined this xmas i done 7 grand in a matter of 3 nights a couple of months back. im like black jack 100£ a spin, |

By:
RON,
thas bad, really bad. you need to get out the game if you cant kick it. |
|
By:
i only bet when i drink which makes it uncontrollable
& cant get away from my pc, i've tried betfilter ect but just buy a new pc in the end to get around it, hopefully in 2015 i change my ways because i cant carry on how i have in 2014 |
|
By:
ron,
our ahead in the game in 1 respect, you can see it has to change. all the best mate, i hope it works out well. the one thing about betfair is to learn from every mistake and keep improving as a punter. if you keep improving you can start to turn a profit. wining a penny is better than losing a pound! |

im not allowed to bet on here, banned for life!
a misunderstanding a few years back, |
|
By:
so i end up on sites like 32 red, sport.
ive closed and re opened so many accounts you wouldnt believe, |
|
By:
you could say that Ron..a slight misunderstanding
FFS![]() they were a bit unfair, it was the last resort to keep you off the forum every time they banned you kept coming back from the dead! |
|
By:
I hope you are not on any of these sites NOW Ron
|
|

this isnt a bore fest about me,
but the golden rule of betting imo is never drink & gamble, i've no need for a bet when not drinking & just havent got the chase factor inside me, if i was drinking and lost a tenner id go to thousands to get that tenner back, but the sick thing is even if i did id still carry on expecting more around the next corner.....hand/spin ect |
|
By:
this is 2015 bg, i dont bet anymore!

By:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes alcohol releases your inner demon Ron ![]() But it is a good rule never drink and bet, especially you are gambling seriously I always find I have an have an extra bet or two when I am drunk |

a good read yes, but still a load of boloks mate. |

its one of them rules you hear from when you basically start
betting but for some reason think, yeah that don't really apply to me! I Done ok for a lot of years, god knows how, .....but the last 2 i've experienced winning 5 grand drunk in one night & tbh i wern't even botherd the next day & also experienced losing 5 grand drunk in one night & the pain of losing so much out weighs the winning. Just imagine the levels of people doing their bo!!ocks on these on-line casinos!........i think on lucky nugget i was doing a re spin like every 10 seconds |
|

I think the temptation of these sites Ron
it so easy to win quite large amounts of money in an incredibly short time, and so easy Sports betting by contrast is slow and difficult, especially if we put the work in and we can win nothing like as much, even if we do start winning, the bookies stop us getting a bet on The problem with these on line casino sites as you have found out Ron, you can also lose large amounts of money all too quickly and easy as well |
|
By:
I was hardly ever out of casinos from 1976 - 2002 until I joined here in 2002. I dread to think what I lost but it must have been well in 6 figures. Haven't been in one apart from for a meal in 12 years.

ha ha, done and dusted. No point getting upset about it. I've made it all back on Betfair.

thats good you've not been back kenny.
....its getting harder an harder to stop now days your bombarded with emails, adverts on tv ect. proper in your face its wrong their allowed to adverise imo, its probably worse than smoking for ruining lifes but the government are obviously getting their chunk, at our expense.....as you say bg you've always got the possibility of a huge win in mind when thinking of playing.....i still think there bent, i reckon they monitor & simply put you on a max win % so your like a lamb to the slaghter. |
|
By:
as you say kenny no good crying over spilt milk.
was your money done with a clear head? |
|
By:
not really, I never went in for a bet without at least 4 pints inside me, Ron.

barst@d aint it,
I've know for a long while drink just leads to everything bad in my life. evrything from diet keeping fit ect ect, drink = your not geared up for the day ahead...just a waste of space basically i remember hearing that never drink an gamble when i was like 17 and just thought yeah alright, as if that applies to me just some older bloke giving it i know more than you etc.....it's worse than ever now tho im talking like the mid 80's now you've got a lap top in your face most of the day |
|
By:
Cold turkey Ron, that's what I did. I was however helped by the fact that I'd started making money on here so thought what's the point in giving it back. Tomorrow is a good day to start.
Good night and good luck. |

yeah good night kenny.

kenny, "a good read yes, but still a load of boloks mate." I completely agree, but it's entertaining. I don't believe that the events took place as described.
I got "banned" from London casinos in the 70s because myself and a mate used a staking plan I had devised, we did not win a great deal, £216 per night was our target, We both had good jobs and the unsocial hours used would have earned us both much more than the poxy £108 each that we got when we won. and when we had losses the were very small and took over 4 hours before calling it a night. My mate bumped into a croupier from Silks (The Sportsman Tottengham court rd)that he knew, he told him we weren't banned because we won a poxy few quid, once or twice a week, it was because the 2 seats we occupied (necessary for the "system")where worth X amount per hour to the casino, and we were denying them the expected revenue. Looking back, a complete waste of time but we were young, and stupid, Incidentally The Playboy club in Park lane, was useless to us as you could not get near the tables unless you were there from early evening, because of Arabs and prostitutes. AAAAHHH the good old days. ![]() |

a friend and myself also had a system BTF which we called the plodders system. We used to go to the Derby casinos in the 90's, and a more unhappy bunch of table staff would be hard to find anywhere. We used to study the croupiers and the wheel spins, and many of them used to get into such a monotonous routine they were banging the ball in pretty close to where it fell last time, what we used to do was cover the 6 numbers either side of where it last fell. Obviously you got the odd bad bounce off the wheel but on a good night we were hitting it 4 out of 5 spins, it took them ages to work it out then they started speeding up the tables so we couldn't get all the bets down or they changed croupiers on a more frequent basis. Made some good money though while it lasted.

By:
HNY BB, In London the changed Croups in some clubs after 20 mins, and wheels as well to stop the "groove/dealer signature" occurring.

Was I ever in the inner circle elite? I honestly can't remember.

HNY BTF, first time I have ever heard anyone else talk about this I thought we were clever and unique
