Michael Caine miscast....should have been one of the lads....not an officer.
He did a good job considering but he'd have made a first class Hook.
Mangosuthu Buthelezi played the King of the Zulus kaMpande who was actually his great Grandfather.
Hook's family were very unhappy at his portrayal in the film.
I believe Caine originally auditioned for the role as Hook , failed and then ended up in a lead role.

....not so sure about that, from what ive learned the zulus didnt havent any qualms about killing other black tribes.
