I'm thinking of getting one, Kenny
About £55 per month on Three - bit expensive |
By:
Anyway the question is, lol. How do you download an app, ie youtube, google?
By:
I'm paying £46 a month through Carphone Warehouse, Leopard. Actually £38 but paid some upfront.
By:
Go to App store
By:
That's 4gb plus unlimited calls and texts

Blue circle, A shape in white.

How do you download an app? FFS, it's nearly 2015
![]() ![]() ![]() Why don't you ask one of your 243 cats, they're probably smarter than you |
By:
What network are you on?
By:
I've gone to App store several times. However I can't find Google or Youtube.
By:
You can search in Appstore
It's a bit different if you are used to an android |
By:
On Apple they use Safari as a browser
By:
Safari = Blue circle with red and white compass hands
By:
Yes I am an ex Android user. I've used Safari but you don't get full screen, even if you tilt the phone.
By:
That will be one of your apps already on phone
By:
Ah, so Safari is an app, and you can't download Google and Youtube as apps?
By:
What I mean is can you only get them through Safari?
By:
I've got an android but my wife and kids all have iphones
Yes you can get google and You tube through Safari |
By:
There must be a way of going full screen on safari
By:
Nigh on fifty quid a month? Ffs my motorola is £7.50 a month. Free calls and texts. Half a gig of internet, not much I guess. Facebook, google, email, all sorts of apps. Do you really need an iphone Kenny?
By:
I just wanted the best, rob, and it's highest rated by Which. Money is no object, not because I'm rich but it will pay for itself when I'm doing the bookies. There's an awful lot on it I won't use though.
By:
Sounds like you've bagged yourself the best. Enjoy your videos.
By:
Wave for us Ken, nice shirt !
By:
Masters, that is.

Rob, I had a similar sort of deal with an old Nokia which suited me fine. Then Betfair jettisoned the Betfair lite site without warning, so I couldn't access Betfair prices when in Ladbrokes. I dusted off an old Android phone and used the Zoombet app, and within days that closed down too, which meant I had to upgrade to something which could handle the new Betfair mobile app (the Android phone didn't have enough capacity to download it, never mind run it reliably.
So 2 or 3 months ago I bought an iPhone 5s, the upgraded iPhone 5, which does everything I could ever need, is smaller than the iPhone 6 and cut-price owing to being superseded by the iPhone 6. Wish I'd done it years ago. I make my living from betting and the only place you can get any kind of money on these days is in the shops. Suddenly having fast, reliable access to the Betfair markets as a guide, rather than a slow-loading hit-and-miss one, has been revelation. The phone's paid for itself literally 20 times over already. |
By:
Do you find Lads will take lumpier bets that the rest screaming? Certainly is the case in West Yorks.
By:
And in Taunton, kenny.
P Power SP only. Betfred SP only except for Cheltenham, Royal Ascot etc. Hills endless phone calls to restrict you to, say, fifty quid and no each way. |
By:
To clarify, Laddies let me have £200 win or each way on a nag, no problem. If I sometimes want a monkey on something with a view to laying part of it off on here, there's only very rarely a knockback, perhaps in snide each way races.
The irony is that, like everyone else, I have a couple of online accounts with them, both closed down. The perception that Laddies are bottom-priced every horse is a myth. They think they are, which perhaps explains their relaxed attitude, but you need to look a bit more closely at the higher-grade races and each way races and there are always opportunities somewhere. |
By:
I thought youtube was always on there.
By:
No, Joel, you have to download the App which I've now managed with the help of a barman in 'spoons.
It certainly is a myth, screaming. I spot about half a dozen horses a day with Lads that are lower on here. As you have an iphone would you kindly advise me in straightforward terms how to get various tabs open. Or anyone else please. |
By:
I think you said you use Chrome on your home computer. If so, the easiest thing is to download the Chrome app.
Press App Store, press Search at bottom of screen, press Search at top of screen, type in google chrome and download it. Log in with the ID you use at home and, hey presto, all your settings and bookmarks appear on your phone. (Tap Bookmarks to change between the main Bookmarks you see at the top of the screen on your PC and the Other Bookmarks listed on the right). To open new tabs, tap the little square box on the top right, then tap New Tab. PS I am 53 years old, never touched a computer until 30 Jan 2005 and this is the first and last time I am offering technical advice to anyone. If I can work these things out... |
By:
You can also open a new tab by tapping the three horizontal lines top right, which also accesses bookmarks, history etc.
