Not something we have to worry about for a few years yet

As pump says a few years yet before that happens but maybe Charles will stand aside in favour of his son when the time comes.
The Queen will be a hard act to follow.

To not be king at all Charles would have to technically abdicate before the Queen dies as he  automatically become King the instant the Queen dies, he is old school & would follow his mother down the same path & never abdicate imo, decades down the road it will probably be all different when William is King.

The Queen Mother was 101 when she died, the Queen is 88 and as far as we are aware she still has good a good engine. Prince Charles is 66 so lets say for arguments sake The Queen lives for another 13 years that would make Charles nigh on 80 at the time of his Coronation. Two things, firstly it is not completely beyond the realms of possibility the Queen will outlive Charles and even if she doesn't, what is the point of a very old man being crowned King? I can't see the point personally but no doubt even if they have to drive him in on a mobility scooter at whatever age he will want his day with a crown on his bonce.

William should get the gig when the Queen dies as far as I'm concerned but Charles will never allow that to happen imo.

Charles has to get the gig, it is what his entire life has been for. It would be like promising you that one day you would get to ride Letitia, only come the day you couldn't get a stiffy.

If the Monarch made the laws then it would be understandable for William to take the gig, as its all purely ceremonial now its really irrelevant who is monarch as far as I am concerned.

Laugh I think Charles will be an awful King but I think the same about William. We need a King in the mould of say someone like Johnny Wilkinson and not some chinless Windsor.

Queen Letitia and Slippy, the Duke of Dulwich does have a ring to it.  Time to let the commoners have a go.

I think Slippy is of the aristocracy so the commoner thing isn't quite true.

Yep The Leopard, that is completely true and I'm very proud of Dad and my Irish roots. In no way would anyone who ever met me consider me to be pretending that I'm something I'm not. I used to work on a building sites in the school holidays to earn my pocket money, nowt wrong with that.

Very happy with Alan Pardew B-B, a Palace man through and through and if anyone can get us safe he's the man for the job. Not sure how much transfer funds will be made in January though, we'll have to wait and see about that.

Is Charles a bit weak perhaps. Edward VIII gave up his throne to marry Mrs Simpson

Charles loved Camilla but allowed himself to be persuaded into marrying Princess DI....an emotional tragedy

If it was to get himself on the throne it has not worked so far, and he is back with Camilla

Princess Di the nations 'princess' tragically now dead

Charles had to marry someone do not think Camilla was an option at the time, Charles could have married Camilla's sister apparently but that's another story, anyway Diana was found he married her solely to produce an heir then started an affair again  with Camilla, what I cannot get my head around is Charles starts the  affair  again that that was probably in the making while Charles was on his honeymoon he then separates from Diana,  down the line Diana dies & after waiting what was thought the correct amount of time Camilla was paraded as Charles new love interest as though the world & his corgi didn't already know & his sons accept Camilla as though she was a new stranger in Charles life when all is said & done his love for Camilla over 35 years in the making indirectly bought about Di's demise, if I was Wills or Harry I would surely want to royally spit in Camilla's eye.

I wonder what the odds would be for a member of the royal family to be very close frroends with a paedophilic necrophiliiac murderer most prolific in british known history known to secret services, who was an ageing djShocked of absolutely no significance other than childrens charities. How could someone be on best friend terms with not just royalty but the then current prime minister and other mps,ask your self this question why would he be allowed to mix with these unless themselves were ''untouchable''Shocked
