Can you just get items within a certain distance plus items that can be posted.
ie. I don't want items that i can't actually get, items that are a long way away that are Pick-Up Only.

line across top of page when you search has a box that defaults to "Best Match". It has an arrow. Hover over arrow and "Distance: nearest first" comes up as option.

Try gumtree, ebay tends to be more of a retail site these days. Gumtree is more like what ebay used to be (though cash on pickup is recommended unless you want to do your money)
