Geoff Pullar, the former England, Lancashire and Gloucestershire batsman, has died aged 79.
Pullar played 28 Tests for England, making his debut against India in July 1959, with his final match against Australia in Adelaide in January 1963.
His 131 against India at Old Trafford in his second Test was the first century scored by a Lancastrian on his home ground of Old Trafford.
He was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1960.

I remember him well, Tambers. He was a stubborn bugar to dislodge. Yorkshire were always glad to see the back of him.

I'm surprised he only averaged 35 in First Class cricket. One of many players to average more in Test Matches.
