From the past (when in their prime)

These 3 are 'brown bread' Sad

Veronica Lake who stood 4 feet 11 and a half inches tall, died in 1973 aged just 50, from hepatitis, alone in hospital, with no visitors. (schizophrenic and alcoholic)

Elizabeth Taylor 5 feet 2 inches tall, died in 2011 aged 79

Rita Hayworth 5 feet 6 inches tall - died in 1987 aged 68

These two are still alive Happy

Maureen O'Hara -  5 feet 8 inches tall, still going at 94 years old

Sophia Loren 5 feet 8 and a half inches tall, and aged 80.

Be tall, live longer Happy

As i would have left home and walked barefoot to California on the promise of a smile off Liz Taylor, she gets my vote...

You should have got in when she was younger, she was born in Hampstead, London.

Saved your feet a long walk.

If pressed I'd pick Sophia Loren but I do agree with STUDYFORM in that none of them are even remotely remarkable looks wise. I never could understand how Elizabeth Taylor was considered to be a beauty, she was a very plain Jane to my eyes.

Doesn't the winner from the last round (Kiera Knightley) go through to this one?

Anyway, out of those five I would probably go for Rita Hayworth.

Funnily enough I was shopping in Liverpool One earlier and a beautiful young lady was next to me in line for the till in John Lewis.

She was like a young Sophia Loren - right up to the point she squawked "It's fookin chokka in town - its doin' ma fookin head in" down her mobile to the poor individual on the other end.

Kind of ruined the dream.

Saskia, Sabine and Anastasia who work in the deli across the road all knock spots off that lot. Especially Sabine Love

WEIGHED IN

It finished a draw between Rita and Sophia, so I had to vote for a winner, which is a shame as I'd have gone for Maureen as my original choice, who never got a single vote Sad

Judging these women in their prime made it hard...

The winning vote goes to Sophia because an extra two and a half inches makes all the difference.

Apparently she made a mean caponata and could suck black pudding through an artic explorers sock.

Before she met Carlo of course...
