Always wondered why my old dad, who had known real poverty and was very working class, used to say "Never vote Labour. They always spend money they haven't got and then leave a mess for someone else to sort out."
Now I know.

Even my old man who used to be your typical northen labour voting sheep has turned away from Labour because of their stance on the EU , immigration and what labour councils allowed to happen re the muslim grooming scandals.
He now sees Labour is not at all the same party him and his coal mining father pledged allegiance to decades ago.
He just abstains now because it’s somehow against his DNA to vote conservative.
We’ve certainly had some ‘discussions’ at times lol because I’ve never voted labour and never will.

The majority of people I know work hard  and earn an honest living, apart from my next door neighbour who hasn't worked for at least 40 years - no end of  excuses, bad back, chrohns disease, now prostrate cancer ffs (no treatment - their keeping an eye on  it!!!!!!!!!).

yep they haven't changed , basically don't vote tory if you're not rich and you are one or more of the following:-
thick
lazy
useless
lacking work ethic
have no real worthwhile skills
have no real worthwhile education
see sitting on handouts as a valid lifestyle choice
feel you have a right to stick your hands in other people's pockets via the tax system
