WIth not many qualifications?

I'm qualified in care work and  labouring but that's about it.

I'm in london for the next 12 mths or so, do you think i'll find it difficult to get work.

I've been to a few agencies one said they might be able to get me a mail room job, anyone got any tips?

liam if you are qualified in care work then you can practically walk into a job, leave that one and walk into another. They are crying out for care workers EVERYWHERE.

Not too hard to find a job in London tbh. Be careful with agencies. They charge the client about £20 an hour and pay you minimum wage. Take on.

Just have a good look in the papers and on job sites.

Obligatory speaking Polish will help tip.

That is a myth about agency margins. I am not a fan of agencies but their margins are not that high.

They should pay them more money then.

Get a window wiper blade and a squirty can of glass cleaning foam. Clean the windscreens of all the cars at the front at red traffic lights.

You'll get spat on. told to fack off, and called a caant, but now and again you'll get 50p.  Laugh

All agencies are parasites.

The main reason they get used these a lot these days is that the onus is on the agency that they are in the UK legally.

The firm they work for can't get prosecuted, and the fine is £10k for each illegal worker that gets caught.

There's a long held view by a lot of firms that agencies only have unskilled staff who can't get proper job themselves.

Almost all unskilled workers in east London agencies were Africans 10 years ago, and they were all useless.

They got paid £6 an hour, cost £12 an hour, and were nowhere near as fast or as accurate as your own staff.

And they cause arguments, because your own staff know what they are costing, and they won't get £12 an hour for working alongside them.

In the long run you're better off paying overtime to your own people.

They're good Sultan but the trainspotting ones are better.

. Are you at least four stone overweight?  Are your glasses held together with a plaster?  Are you on the Sex Offender’s Register?  If you can answer YES to all these questions then you may be the man we are looking for.  West Coast Rail are looking for a middle aged bachelor to head a team of social misfits writing down train numbers at Crewe Station.  The successful candidate will smell of salt and vinegar crisps and will have a proven track record of getting very excited when a train comes in.   A load of limp margarine sandwiches in a Tupperware box would be an advantage.
