At least 126 people, mostly children, have been killed in a Taliban assault on an army-run school in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.

There are good people and there are bad people - end of. People still trying to justify their acts in the name of religion after thousands of years of wars brought about through "faith".  Religion is my pet hate I'm afraid (and the ECB)! How so many people over history have justified their actions due to their particular brand of faith leaves me scratching my head. Show me some proof then great. Religion has been used by those in power to control the masses through fear for centuries and it still goes on. Take a trip to Southern Ireland and see the fear of the local priest - unbelievable. Actually fairly believable if you are a young boy or a "fallen" lady. |

I was in Peshawar last year.It's an amazing city and the people are unbelievably hospitable.
It's getting worse by the year though.Peshawar is really more Afghanistan than Pakistan. Culturally, economically, ethnically they are closer to Kabul than to Islamabad. |

The assumption is that everyone is human, but as we dont know really what makes us human this may be wrong. It is possible that thousands,or even millions of people are not fully human and that mankind will regress as evolution reverses...this could be happening now.

are you talking about different races lfc1971.... you may inadvertently be getting yourself in hot water there I would think you have to say everybody is human....speech would be a good indicator of that If you are talking of what one would say are values...then I am afraid these could regress, because they are only conditioned into us The basic human being without any conditioned values at all is not very nice.... Things such as murder, rape and pillage would be normal for us just my opinion that sounds a good idea Angel, I am all for that |

..it is impossible to think any human being would do it, so they be cannot be human, I suppose it is possible? Unfortunately I think they are human, and I think we could all do these things...although I find this concept so uncomfortable I actually get frightened by it, and do not think about it too much. About the worst thing was the 'final solution', where evil seemed to reach a new low.
Although before that, the idea was the SS would shoot all Jews. They were totally conditioned to hate Jews. But when the SS actually started to do this, it was found it was giving them some serious psychological problems, they started to become ill, so it was stopped. So I suppose on that basis one can argue there are some things we cannot do. Which gives us some hope. |

Murdering 132 schoolchildren by shooting them in the eyes, beheading them or burning them to death isn't human, or the actions of s man.
