Mate should had looked into whether his car had a spare tyre before buying/driving it imo.

have to be a tow truck nww if there's no spare not much he can do if it's that bad.

does his girlfriend wear tights etc etc

jack it up, take wheel off, get you to pick him up, take rim to get new tyre in morning, put back on car

Hang out of door opposite puncture to balance weight and drive home .

Unless it's a reliant robin...In which case pick it up and carry it.....
