For example : They're currently showing an Aussie TV series on afternoons (BBC2) ; it can appear at any time - they shift it about depending on political shows, snooker or whatever.

This particular Aussie soap opera is like feckin' catnip for women but the daft BBC haven't cottoned on yet. It's like Breaking Bad for a female audience. If they marketed this well and showed it in the correct time slot on BBC 1 it would be at least as popular as Downton Abbey. But then, they wouldn't do that as it's not a home-made BBC product and they'd get a showing up, like they consistently do with HBO shows, etc.

The BBC are utterly detached from their audience...and deluded. Must be the most arrogant and deluded  organization in the UK, except for Rangers.

I'm thinking of doing a one-off portrait of Sandy Jardine -- I've got a hand made gold leaf frame made -- this thing will be STUNNING Grin if I set my mind to do it...how much do you reckon I could get for this? About 120cm by 80cm oil painting...google Claudio Bravo art to see the style - very realistic...how would I go about selling it? Genuine fan of Sandy as a footballer BTW...

Here , in Round the Horne :

One of the most popular sketches was Julian and Sandy, featuring Paddick and Williams as two flamboyantly Camp out-of-work actors, speaking in the gay slang Polari, with Horne as their comic foil. They usually ran fashionable enterprises in Chelsea which started with the word bona, for example Bona Pets, or in one episode a firm of solicitors called Bona Law - a play on the name of Prime Minister Bonar Law - and their claim "We've got a criminal practice that takes up most of our time" at a time when homosexuality was illegal.

This Sandy Jardine was a footballer who sadly passed away earlier this year at the age of 65 Leopard.

Would be hard to say Vel. Depends how good you are. In saying that if your not a name then not very much.
I worked with a young Aberdeen lad who was as good as I've seen but his stuff went reasonably  cheaply although he did get a right few hundred for a crucifixion one.
Well crucifixion with a difference. It was to order and had Jesus with the puppets Sooty and Sweep on his hands. Blush

Do you know Royston? Knew a guy in the pub trade and they had to change the company colours up there because they were mainly blue and Royston is 100% green seemingly.

"SCOTLAND'S sectarian shame is normally played out with chants on the football terraces or marches through the streets.

But in one Scottish town, the traffic lights appear to have become the focus of community hatred, with youths repeatedly smashing or stealing the green lenses.

So rife is the problem in the South Lanarkshire town of Larkhall that the council has been forced to erect grilles in front of the lights to ward off vandals. "
