Scrap metal dealer Ion Lazar plans to pay for the house with generous child bene?t and tax credits funded by taxpayers.
Handouts have made him so rich he pays tradesmen in cash to build the property in Romania for his wife and three children.
He said: “It’s coming in bene?ts. It’s like free money, thank you England.” The situation was last night labelled a “national scandal” and an insult to hard-working families after ?gures showed £30million in child bene?t was sent from Britain to 20,400 families in other European countries in 2012-13.
Outrage over child benefit and tax credits has seen David Cameron call for a four-year ban on migrants claiming benefits.
Mr Lazar, 36, is able to claim benefits because his part-time wage as a self-employed scrap metal collector in London is so low he pays no tax.
He says his children are a passport to £1,700 a month in welfare.

It might well be true, but hard cases make bad law.
If benefits are set at a level for a normal family in Britain, then people in abnormal circumstances (ie with unusually low living costs) can take advantage. Same with wages -- people who need to pay rent on a house and support a family can have their wages undercut by people who can doss five to a room for a year or so. The obvious answer is ... well, if there was one, probably someone would have found it by now. |

That's now gone, and they have the astounding news that Farage missed a meeting in Wales due to 'high immigration and traffic chaos' on the M4' with 2822 comments Food banks with 1562 comments Action to halt nuisance call plague with 395 comments Nuclear arms with 253 comments Japanese recession with 91 comments Looking down the side of the main page you can see which items of news have comments by the public. It seems very odd to me that any news that contains 'child abuse is an epidemic' doesn't appear to have the comment boxes open, as there are none. And having scouted the entire main news pages I can't find one word on the African boys murder in Scotland. I put 'Alva' in the search box, it came up with nothing of note. I put 'Clackmannanshire' in the search box, it brought up articles from 2009 and 2010. Yet they already have the Dewani judges verdict, which was delivered less than an hour ago. One here : Alan Davis : Does anybody else see there being a bit of a shame in Farage deliberately trying to antagonise Guardian readers on the one hand with his statements (because he thinks it will win him enough votes) - and the Guardian totally rising to the (click) bait on the other (because it thinks 24/7 coverage it helps to demonise him in the minds of enough voters)? Call a truce please - leave the playground and try to get over each other - if only for the sake of your readers and going back to some decent and more urgently needed reporting. |

this is actually an old story. The bloke was in the papers a few months ago saying how he intended to send home 60k in 3 years, he went on to say if he could not earn it then he would steal it.

The Guardian had up to 5 different stories on breastfeeding with a total of well over 11,000 comments. I cannot remember the last story they opened for comment on the issues around the community who must not be named!!!!

I made comment on both guardian and bbc websites commenting on the fact that getting your tits out to feed your pot lid in the bbc canteen could have been a tad risque if jimmy savile,rod harris stewart hall and dlt had been there, apart from having them drooling over her tits and diluting her milk she would probably have gotten touched up in the corridor going back to where she worked,
Surprisingly for liberal establishment who are against the censorship of free speech both posts lasted seconds. |

The Guardian had up to 5 different stories on breastfeeding with a total of well over 11,000 comments. I cannot remember the last story they opened for comment on the issues around the community who must not be named!!!! Sums the Guardian up perfectly from what I've seen on there recently. |

10k in a Belgian bank From day 1 I had to be registered with the Ministry if Finance and had to register for vat before I had taken a single euro Had to register with the police who came round twice tomake sure I lived where I claimed to live.So if we are all in this Euro experience together how come Belgium does the job properly and we don't do it at all your right re other countries...can only imagine the uk cant be @rsed as it would cost too much without any money coming back for it. the 10k in a bank though is not quite right. what would they not give you?residency? technically they cant stop you working or living in belgium. you may have issues in some areas like buying a car etc. but legally they can not kick you out if you hold an eu passport....they may fine you if you have no job...but if you had a job you would be self sufficient, probably covered by health etc because your paying your taxes. but i agree with this. you shoudlnt beable to just swanny into some country without enough $$$ just looking for work....fair enough if you have work before you arrive. |
