when i go on a unsecure site..ie zoopla or greyhound scence
i get redirected to a site [a1.worksdown.com] telling me to install adobe player
how can i get rid of this
i have used, avg,malebites and spybot, none has cured the problem
any ideas?

I thought it was a website based problem, tried a different browser ?

If it's flash itself uninstall flash then reinstall from adobe, if it's the browser uninstall and reinstall the browser, then try the above utilities again later, if it's a new one it may not be on their database yet.
Firefox is my favourite browser.
I still would rescan the system with the latest stuff in a week or two. If it installed something nasty, it may be there doing "other" stuff. If you've not firewall god knows what it might be doing.
