Christ this is painful to watch a man get ripped to pieces on live TV.

He does it to them all. None of them have a proper grip on their brief and so he grabs their balls and shakes them hard.

It's an interesting juxtaposition seeing that demolition and then the piece now on the Referendum. Andrew Neil does that to Labour and the Tories week in week out without fear or favour, and it's good he does it.

When the BBC ask questions etc a fraction as robust as that of the SNP, they throw the rattle out of the pram and cry foul and bias. They even had organised campaign/marches to get a BBC journalist fired - (see their treatment of Andrew Marr and Nick Robinson) for even being moderately difficult to them...

Not surprising from a bunch of book burners though Sad.

Thin And Crispy

You've got a treat coming if you've never seen him skewering Abbott on This Week. He's coshed her several times and what makes it all the more delicious is the fact that her old school friend Portillo always sits there with the widest grin as if to say thank god he's leaving me alone. It can be seen on you tube.

You wouldn't need to be Neil to skewer Abbot, she's such an idiot who talks such rubbish Peter André could take it apart.

Rancid human. I've angered myself watching her.

The annoying thing is that she gets away with spouting racist claptrap but anybody who criticises her is denounced as a racist. Her colour is irrelevant. She is dangerous.

I remember watching that along while ago, Portillo's face is a picture the whole way through, I think whatever party you support, everyone can agree, she is an embarrassment based on many different factors not just one or two.

Well I think if you take the argument to its logical conclusion ( bearing in mind she did nothing wrong ) the only question she has to answer is was she using the most cost affective means of transport at the public expense. I would therefore argue she was as I would not want my wife travelling on the London underground or bus very late at night when alone after she finished work.

Neil says he pays his own transport and does not take expenses. Well I doubt that very much. I would be shocked if he has never taken any expenses such as lunches in upmarket restaurants and other things and probably has got ferried to work many times in taxis. He too is paid by the public purse.

We all pay this mans wages through our tv licenses. I would therefore ask the same question to him that he asked to Diaane Abbot.  Most people don't get paid expenses to get not only taxis but chauffer driven transport to work like I am sure he has many times. Most people pay for their own lunches or they take a packed lunch to work. Is he saying he does the same. His line of questioning was totally hypocritical. That's my point. Not whether I like Diane Abbot.

I thought travel expenses were ok for going to places that aren't your normal place of work, but you can claim them if you have to go a different place, which seems fair. I.e. if you are living and working in Birmingham and your employer sends to Leeds for the day, you'd expect to be reimbursed, but not for your normal commute. I'd expect that's the rules the MPs apply to themselves, is that the case here or does D.A. claim for her normal travel to work?
By:
paddletoe
When: 05 Dec 14 18:41
And why should Andrew Neil get expenses as I am sure he does and probably more expenses than mps to go about his normal day to day work.

You can't just assume. Neil says he doesn't. If you have some proof then fair enough but without evidence it's not fair to accuse Neil of hypocrisy. Let's take this away from that particular line of reasoning. You make a fair point. If my wife was working in London and travelling late at night I would like her to use the safest from of transport which would be a back cab if we could afford it. That will be the same for many of the thousands of shift workers including people like nurses.

I woudn't expect the taxpayer to pick up the tab though and especially if I was earning more than twice the national average wage. It isn't Neil who Abbott needs to look in the eyes. It is her constituents as it is for most of that rotten shower in both houses.
