I've always meant to track down the vinyl of Oliver- the original west end stage production, where Marriot plays the Artful Dodger. Would imagine its worth a fair old bit now.

Jimmy Winston was one of the original 4 Small Faces and he's still around. Ian replaced him in '66.

Steve Marriot and Ronnie Lane were both from Newham. Ronnie went to the same senior school as me.
Ronnie died in the sun of MS, and Steve died because legend has it that his local pub in Arkesden ran out of Old Holborn, which he normally smoked, so he got a pack of cigarettes, and that was what caused the fire. Got lots of their records here, and now have most on CD. Only Jonesy left now then. |
