A friend of mine is looking for offers on a white iphone 5 (not 5c or 5s). It is 16Gb version and she says it is 4 months old and like new.

I have no idea about the cost of iphones as I steer clear of any Apple products but my daughter is looking for one.

Any guidance appreciated.

These buy and sell them on the High Street

I don't think you get a decent price but might give you an indication.

I've seen mint ones go for £180 on eBay in the last few days. Still top phone. Much better value buying one of them for £180 and sticking a cheap sim in it than strapping yourself up with a £40 a month contract for 2 years.

I meant to say the contract is for a 6, but there isn't much difference at all functionality wise and I actually prefer the size of the 5. What's the fascination with making phones bigger and bigger? They're meant to be small and mobile. I thought the name was a giveaway!

Thanks for the replies chaps - I forgot to mention that it was an unlocked model. the webuy site looks a bit expensive but as you say gives an indication.

Looking at completed listings on ebay - they seem to go from anywhere between £160 - £260. I messaged her to ask if she had a price in mind and she mentioned that they were going on ebay for £200 so I may be able to get it for a little less than that - I guess £180-£190 is a fair price? (considering it is "like new").
