Whether it's rugby or football players emerging from a big bus, swimmers or athletes coming out for a routine heat, it appears they cannot possibly conceive of participating without the aid of headphones. No doubt it's the expensive variety allegedly designed by that nice Dr Dre bloke, as opposed to a perfectly functional pair costing around one tenth of the fashion ones.

Funny how you almost never see (for example) Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Lance Nadal, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Phil Taylor and their ilk entering the playing area wearing fashion headphones, all fervently listening to Waggoners Walk lest they miss out on a crucial plot development,

I'm wondering just how many Majors that Federer, Woods and Taylor might have won but for the want of a small purchase of a pair headphones.

It's a class thing. Some have it....

Football in this country infamous for not drawing players from the middle classes..

Missed opportunity imo.
