They played the clip today where he said he'd commentated on 2000 games, 4 world cups, nearly 40 OF games and umpteen cup finals but people only ever spoke about his jackets.

I sat next to Hazel Irvine years ago - think it was at Celtic Park - world cup qualifier maybe Scotland V Latvia...I said to ma pals, "Look - Sally McNair!" Hazel heard me - must have thought I was a total ar$e... She was with her toyboy - a male model type.
