Anyone been a victim of Mobile Phone Fraud and did you get your money back? The phone company are insisting I pay for it at the moment but I am sure I will be able to negotiate. My phone was nicked and used to call premium rate numbers in Senegal and Azerbaijan. Hundreds of pounds. I wouldn't mind but I didn't even get to hear the tips!

barry, there was a story in the guardian last week about the very same thing. Guy got his phone nicked on holiday and it was used to ring up a bill of 20 grand - phone company insisted he should pay up.

My scenario is almost identical. Pocket picked on la rambla. "Only" £900 for me though.

I must have been lucky barry, got me phone nicked out of my pocket two streets behind Rambla on Wednesday. According to my phone company there was no activity thereafter.

The phone company today waived all charges. If anyone is ever a victim I can tell you what to do. 1st, don't get drunk in Barcelona!
