barry, there was a story in the guardian last week about the very same thing. Guy got his phone nicked on holiday and it was used to ring up a bill of 20 grand - phone company insisted he should pay up.

My scenario is almost identical. Pocket picked on la rambla. "Only" £900 for me though.

I must have been lucky barry, got me phone nicked out of my pocket two streets behind Rambla on Wednesday. According to my phone company there was no activity thereafter.
