Turned out Wilko had a rare form of the usually unbeatable cancer. His original interview when he was on the BBC talking about how many months he had left was so inspirational I started a thread. Great guy and musician.

That was a brilliant interview with him this morning, so pleased for him, amazing how he recovered after being told he only had about 10 mths left to live.  Had a major operation to take out the tumour which was so big it weighed about 6lb, almost as big as a baby.  He said being on stage before and playing the guitar was like he was pregnant, and couldn't hold the guitar properly because it was swaying around on this big lump.

Amazing story, and still planning to play again when he fully recovers. And when he was being interviewed by Bill and Louise he was talking very slowly and it was nice the way they left him to tell his story, some interviewers would have been constantly asking questions and talking more than he was.  Great bloke and so inspirational.

Horrendous 11 hour operation. Removed the tumour, pancreas, spleen, and sections of his bowel.
I hope he fully recovers his strength and energy and lives a long life. He deserves it.

Funny you should say that sofia, he put up the other day that he had long hair and was 64. I thought it unusual, but not unheard of for someone that age who isn't a pop star to have long hair. So you may be right. Shocked
