After you have opened a new email click on the attach button on the tool bar and find your CV.

Also if it is a pdf file and you are sending it to agencies, you may want to send it as a Word file as they will need to change it to take off some personal details and add their own branding

Also -- as someone who has been sent a lot of CVs:
1) Use page numbers and also your name in header or footer -- this is in case pages get separated or shuffled after your CV is printed out;
2) Covering letters are awkward if you cannot tell who you are writing to, but generally use your email as the covering letter;
3) Use the automatic spelling checkers.

No mate im going to try and find a job with Royal Mail

why didnt you do the Xmas temps with them ...

no big company wants a cv - it's application forms all the way. Even more they do not want cv's sent to them on spec - or they'd spend half their day walking over to the bin.

job-trainers and the like still trying to breathe life into the cv as it comprises a significant part of their 'working' day.

I was a postman(for xmas period) a long time ago in Ilkley and John Cunliffe was on my round. He was always complaining about junk mail brochures being left on his mat. He had a Victorian letterbox and they are tiny.

He dislikes postmen and I think he hated cats as well, especially black and white ones.

bhoys dont listen to them , i sent cv to royal mail and got an interview within a few weeks as xmas temp all they wanted me was to take bank details etc and job was mine i reckon  (usuually happens when  asked this ), ended up not going as a bit far and would get fired xmas eve , would take few hours each way as its past city centre for me and 2 buses each way and city centre is at a stand still as was last week , wait until snow comes

call centres if yu can be bothered will give you immediate start but ever done it , so no sure how bad it is , i reckon would be ok better than factory work anyway


you should have went for royal mail when i mentioned it a few month back or so , you would be working now imo

if you take xmas temp try get weekly pay ones or you may be SKINT at xmas

Agencies are parasites.

They charge double what they pay.

couldnt agree more cmat  but even the direct gov site is full of them , they have taken over everything near enough

i can see why some companies use them though as i have worked in a few places in the past , you go in one day and its a whole new team/sqaud next day as most have left  , now the manager will get someone not showing up and just call agency instead of advertising , but if they paid their own workers what they pay agency , this wouldnt happen.


pr1cks walking about in suits doing the interviews at agencies ill never know how they got them jobs , in my experience they mostly aint got a clue , but its easy to sen 5 people to a job i suppose
