Yes, I can see chit chat will be very sympathetic about such a nasty injury 
Long story short I hurt my finger playing cricket a few weeks back. It was a very nice one handed catch at point btw
It hurts if I pop the knuckle, yep I know don't do that then! and also if I push it out to the left. Should I bother the Dr about it or just accept my finger might be a little messed up now? I doubt they could do much anyway. Possibility of chipped bone perhaps?
I await the decision of the chit chat medical experts

I broke my thumb about 6 weeks ago, it's a bit wonky looking and still sore but I never went to the doctors and just sucked it up. This is chit chat Hank ffs. We tough these things out on here man

I hurt my finger when young and the doctor splinted the finger against the next one so neither could bend for a while.

I've broken fingers several times. Just tape it up to another finger as JC said above.

The manager at work told us he lost his big toe to frostbite when climbing Everest but it grew back on.

Hank I hurt mine in a fall and taped it to an other finger with a lollypop stick in between.
Was okay, although still a bit tender, within the week. For clarity make it the finger next to it and on the same hand, that's important. |

I once broke me pen*s, but when they doctor said I needed to tape that to another one I was out of the office before his trousers hit the floor.
