There is an interesting story a la Motown behind What becomes of the broken hearted. It derived from Smile by the Isley Brothers- it's on youtube!
Good singer, no doubt. There was a 'Motown at the BBC' programme on a few weeks ago, with JR doing a live version of that track. Was really good, but eclipsed by his trousers, which were simply staggering.
