That list is accidental fatalities at work   rather than work related deaths imo

TUC reporting 20k work related deaths a year in UK .

http://www.tuc.org.uk/workplace-issues/health-and-safety/guides-and-reports-reps/health-and-safety-relevant-ever-20000

imagine the amount of accidental serious injuries would be high as well .

Must be a lot of people hurt/killed driving to and from work as well ,never mind people killed in rta,s whilst working .

Wonder what the deaths would amount to in a control group.

Say, the jobless.
Report themightymac November 16, 2014 7:46 PM GMT
Sadly, I`ve known plenty of folk killed at their work.

Which regiment were you in?

I did a quick head count at half time in the footy. I've known 32 fisherman who have been killed at work, seven of whom were ex-shipmates.

This isn't including the 5 French lads aboard the Bugaled Breizh, who left Newlyn in 2005 and never returned.  If you add the 8 aboard the Solomon Browne, that will take it to 40.

Such is the price of fish.

Fair point about those earning their corn at sea, plus the volunteers of course Dixie.
Lived in Penzance for nearly a decade '88-'98 and the wifes' family are Mousehole people.
Way after SB of course, but the resonance of that mid December night still holds ones' mind.
