it's one of these ones on a string, pull it, hear the click and it normally switches off, now it still clicks but the light wont go outConfused just unscrewed the compartment and the circular dish is attached to the mechanics inside so I can't pull it down lower than an inch to see if I fix it, what can I do apart form take the light bulb out, I need light in there but no 24 hours a daySurprised

Dampness in the fitting is the likely cause.
My son fixed ours but I can't remember how Laugh
I won't see him until tomorrow so if nobody else helps I'll tell you then.

there's no dampness in the bathroom, never has been and I've lived here years, not sure how dampness would cause that though

turn shower on and close window

Through condensation that happens every time you run a hot bath and have door and window closed.
