Can't be worse than Slough Grammar. When I first went there, one of the fifth formers was a bloke called Webb, who turned out to be Gary Numan.

I'm sure those saying they should've won the Mercury prize that they weren't even shortlisted for are familiar with all of those albums that were...

MA are too artificial, rely too much on instruments  and vocals being distorted electronically. Just my opinion.

I listened last night after reading this and it was good, I liked the performance on Letterman, they are a bit too clean for me tho tbh.

I'd love to see this Massive Attack cover Laugh

Not really. I DID familiarise myself with the shortlist so I've only myself to blame for this...

BoC would've been a better option than, say, the Arctic Monkeys rather boring latest offering.

I'm rooting for Savages.

BoC is Boards of Canada btw. Both they and London Grammar should've been on before the boring dee-dahs!

I was wrong re MA cover. It was a video on YT that was someone else mixing two songs. Sorry For the confusion Sad

Have you got any more contemporary bands worth listening to Facts? I'm way out of the loop here.

If you haven't already give Massive Attack a couple of hours and a proper listen, they are an outstanding band.

Saw them during the Glastonbury coverage. Very nice, her voice not unlike Florence Welch imo.

However, to mention them in the same breath as Massive Attack is like thinking Noddy Holder could have been an understudy at the Scala when Pavarotti fancied a night off.

Not London Grammar's fault some of their fans get a bit carried away though, eh.
