Very good leopard

I'd rather watch the Queen's speech on loop.

I like virtually any travel programme but the beeb really are testing me getting this monstrosity to present it.
By:
TY....Rob
By:
Could be worse rob, it could have been Clare Balding the Beeb sent instead. I like all travel programmes as well, The Lonely Planet was a favourite when presented by Ian Wright.

BBC have over-exposed Sue....don't watch Bake Off so has not affected me.
By:
5 minutes would have been over-exposure. I like 'monstrosity.' I even prefer the ubiquitous Balding!
By:
I would

G2D (quick hijack: I bumped an old thread on hoss racing about 'that' photo of Pendil, which you replied to many moons ago. Still no joy!)

You should be banned for ever or even longer for that heading Leopard.
I feel sick. ![]() |

Och aye wee man..
Didnae you? |

Mikky: is it lost? As i said early in that fred i hadn't seen it for years, but did have a scrapbook when i was a nipper and 'that' pic was innit, pretty sure i got it out of the Sporting Chron..

By:
Dunno G2D, but this was from the thread...
http://pitmacbooks.com/photo-gallery/ Is it not the photo of pendil on the same link above, 4 photos from the bottom ? Mikael D'Haguenet 08 Nov 14 22:26 Tis a long time since I saw the Byrne pic, WFT, but I'm fairly sure that that pic that you, me and seaview have all linked, is NOT it. The one comment on that page would suggest as much also... Tom Doughty May 13, 2014 at 8:26 pm · Reply → Some great photos evoking great memories (well mostly). Still looking for Ed Byrne’s photo of you and Pendil. Definitely an iconic phot but seemingly lost. I had a copy of it (very small) in an old Haig Handicap Annual but alas that is lost too. Pendil….still love the horse. |
By:
I must be honest g2d and admit that I ducked the outright price and did them on the handicap. As good as Ireland were it was a very messy performance by S.A. littered with mistakes and giving away silly penalties. Still, it was a very pleasing game to watch and we totally deserved the thumping win.
Anyway, back to Sue Perkins..I stuck with it as Dallas were long beyond recall but she is extremely unconvincing to me as a presenter and lacking in any tangible charisma. |
By:
I still would
By:
Ah there you go Mikky. Had to be a reason for it not being about anywhere.
Ed is still about i believe, so if i ever bump into him again on course i will ask for a copy (if he has one hidden away) - just for your good self.. |
By:
Good man, yerself!
By:
Not particularly relevant in the scheme of things, but good programme imo. The lady did rather well, I thought.
By:
Don't like Perkins at all, don't mind Balding at all.
By:
Perkins is alright, Balding is Ramsey in drag.

dont like the pick someone on tv and send them some place stuff thats all the rage.
No passion, no knowledge of the subject, cant even speak locals language. Travel TV for people who never leave the UK |
By:
They should have had jasmine harman or julia bradbury presenting rather than some unfkable hag

Really impressed pawras you've summed her up beautifully in only two words. ![]() |
By:
I miss her wonderful sitcom ,which for me was up there with Dads Army ,Porridge and All Of Me.
By:
...Yeah, UH-TV - if this was on a subscription channel it would get about 2,000 viewers, but thanks to the BBC we're forced to pay for it. |
By:
Only the weak are forced to pay for it.

Is she a relation of Dorothy?

Surely he can watch the iPlayer on your iPad

By:
He has his own iPad, Crisp.
Not the same as watching it on the TV, tho'. Anyway, I've just found a repeat later in the week. He can't stand Sue Perkins but the programme looks so good he's just going to have to put up with her. Our favourite travel presenter is Simon Reeve ![]() |
By:
Btw, Sue Perkins was great in the early days of Mel and Sue. I don't know what happened to her

Even Facts might disagree with that MD!

Pendil came back after a long time out and won a three horse race at 10/1, iirc.
