Got to hand it to these guys, absolutely brilliant - just called them because I couldn't log in to my account online, which they duly sorted out (turns out they have a problem with Chrome but fine using IE). When I queried my bill, they checked it out, agreed it was wrong and gave me a £5 monthly discount for the remainder of the contract and backdated it to the start - all without me even asking for it. The girl I spoke too was polite and helpful throughout and the whole experience was thoroughly excellent...

Orange, right up there with First Direct and Eurostar when it comes to customer service imo  Happy

Especially if you have a problem in the 12 (?) hours a day they answer the phone.

My experience with Orange has been that the people who answer the phone are very helpful BUT the company seems not to care very much.

1) help desk closed half the time
2) online account pages are at best unreliable
3) no easy-to-reach status page for widespread outages (for customers or help desk staff)
4) 50p to jump the queue is taking the mick

Number (3) in particular would be very easy to implement.

yeah, definitely agree with 4) I only had to hold for about a minute this afternoon, obviously different at peak times

apparently the online account pages work ok in IE, but they are working on a fix for chrome issues

Orange UK is owned by EE which is 50% owned each by Deutsche telecom and Orange SA (previously Telecom Francais)

For that reason, I am out.
