The rabbit doesn't get fed or watered for days on end. (She did have two but one died.)

Don't know about the cat but it's coat looks in poor condition. At least the cat can let her know it's not happy. The rabbit just gets ignored at the bottom of the garden.

kenny - my missus did report it to the RSPCA.

Tbh, it's her mother's neighbour. The RSPCA took several days to arrive and left a card.

RSPCA, fecking uselss. tried to get them involved with pet neglect a few times, did not even attend. This was in West London.

Yes. I can only assume they're too busy and have other priorities.

Sad, but often happens with rabbits and Guinea Pigs, they get ignored in their hutch in the garden.  We've got a dog and a cat and a rabbit, the rabbit spends a lot of time in the house, he's got a hutch and run in the garden and a small box in the garage (he's been in there this week with all the fireworks going off).

At the moment the rabbit is in his box on the kitchen floor with the cat next to him.  He is one of the lucky ones, a lot of kids have them and don't bother with them after a while, and a lot of parents aren't too bothered either or just too busy to bother with them, it is very sad but happens a lot. And a few lucky ones do get looked after properly.

Rabbit not getting fed or watered again.

The cat is scavenging (I don't think they have a cat-flap) and now they've just got another kitten. Cry

What is wrong with these people? Fkg morons. Angry

If the rabbit is out in its pen, adjacent to the hutch, you can just about reach to pass her some food through the wire. (Which we have done.)

Some people have good intentions but are irresponsible. The cat will be fine, it will find a new home if it wants but the Rabbit has no choice. Can't you confront the neighbour in a friendly way and even offer to take it off him? (You seem caring)

Probably too late for that, Oval.

It's Mrs Nick's mother's neighbour. They are chavs of the highest order.

They also had a dog at one stage. Cr@p all over the garden and her and the kids running around in bare feet.

Apparently, the RSPCA called yesterday.

They said they're more worried about the cat. There is food and water for it outside but they said it looks very thin and have advised the owner to take it to a vet.

So when are they coming back to check on it?

Cant you just go around after dark and steal it. They probably wont either notice or care.

Just take the thing and look after it yourself...my nieces had a rabbit and like a good uncle I built it a hutch but every time I went round there was no food or water and the hutch a mess...I just upped and took it and told them that they weren't responsible enough to have a pet. Job done.

Don't know when or if they're coming back, KM but they (the neighbours) do now seem to be making an effort.

Apparently the cat's quite old and the RSPCA think it might have a thyroid problem.

Neighbours probably have a more serious problem like owing £10,000 to the local loan-shark.

Possibly but they've just got another cat.

As I said, it's the missus' mother's house but I think they took the cat to the vet yesterday.
