David Dimbleby chairs a topical debate from Middlesbrough, where a former leader of the Liberal Democrats Charles Kennedy MP, Labour's Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander MP, Conservative Housing and Planning Minister Brandon Lewis MP, Times columnist Melanie Phillips and comedian Matt Forde face topical questions from the audience.

Matt Forde is the comedian on the panel? If you didn't know any better you'd think it was Douglas Alexander defending Miliband :)

Labour front-benchers have to defend the leader.

It's like a bad after dinner conversation between people who think they know what is good for us, without the benefit of good food and drink. A total waste of time, stunningly uninformative.

Watched the first 20mins. Got fed up.

The comedian and the lady with grey hair and glasses are
okay the rest just rolling out the same old cack, imo.

QT can be very good but pretty dull tonight.

All of a sudden a lot of politicians are wearing little metal poppy badges.
I think that's a con as they'll be able to reuse them every year, it's a long term saving measure so they've more money for coke and hookers. Or in Milibands case, new trousers that aren't "wrong" and wacky inventions for making breakfast.

I'm still trying to decide if The Fox's reply to The Leopard (11:20) was intended as a joke or not!  GrinGrin

Past it's sell by date by eons.

Get Mariella to host, and get some agressive panellists. Otherwise - just let it die...

Oh and please stop with the absolute croc of cack that the panel don't know what the questions are. Some of us who watch have more than 3 brain cells..
