Mrs S's brothers run dogs in Ireland and now I wouldn't go near the sport.  Just saying.

They found one b3nt Greyhound trainer. How many horse trainers have been found "at it" over the years?

Greyhound racing is incredibly straight given the paltry voluntary levy we have to survive on.
Greyhounds are very consistent and it is much easier to win betting on Greyhounds, particularly if you
study the graded racing at a single track.

Greyhounds also make PERFECT pets.

They do.  I'm pleased to say Mrs S's family keep all their retirees, and they're all lovely dogs.  Some b@stards would just have them shot.

stow, what you mean you can win betting on greyhounds?

according to the bright minds here "its all b3nt"

LaughLaughLaugh

Seriously though i couldnt agree more, its the ignorant and the clueless that trot out their usual misinformed drivel..."my mate down the pub, whos mother is friends with some bloke who once walked a dog said it had a sh1t and then it run faster so some trainers cork a dogs hoop before a race to slow it down and then he won his house betting the dogs that didnt run with a cork up their a55"

morons.

As I say, there are characters in Ireland who get away with making sure their dogs run poorly a couple of times so plotting them up to win at big odds.  The one I know has even managed to switch samples for testing.

I'm not saying its all b3nt because it's probably 99% straight - and I'm not saying it happens in England either.

Where there is money involved, there will always be some corruption - in pretty well ALL sports that involve betting.

The program was an attack on Greyhound racing by the BBC

There are a lot of decent people in Greyhound racing, very few at the BBC

The BBC are riddled with nasty wierdos, particularly man hating feminists

any stats on same trainer dogs out of frame in races?

Cant understand that programme. Local track gets tested almost every meeting, they were there today, why on earth would any trainer take risks of losing his/her livelihood (that would be the outcome) for a possible win of an amount that would barely cover 3 months prize money ? They would have to lay off staff, probably move house due to mortgage debts and never get back into the sport again on a licensed track. I can understand pinching a length or two by letting them lie on their beds and being overweight but drugs in this era, barmy ?

I have seen a video of a race where this mob were involved ,it is the worse thing I have seen in 40 years of greyhound racing
Mosdall's dog looks drunk, running from 6 it actually crashes into the rail at the first bend ,2 other dogs in the race also finnished beaten a distance ,one of them a bitch passed away following the race ,Mosdall,s dog had 2 more races was never seen on a track again ,and all this has happened at the supposedly premier track ,THE BBC HAVE PAINTED NOTHING it was there
to see blatantly back in 2012 and little if nothing was done then ,the question that needs to be asked is why ..
